Vision
The Germanic culture contains a rich history, beautiful art, powerful traditions, and overflows with beauty. Unfortunately, Germanic culture is being severely neglected. Through migration and the so-called “multicultural society” that is being forced upon us, we have lost sight of the beauty of our own magnificent culture. In schools, our history, traditions, and art are no longer discussed. Children are now taught that their culture must be shared with other cultures and that they should feel guilty about their history. As a result, many of us in Northern and Western Europe have lost our connection with our splendid culture. We see the loss of our culture reflected in our society. People feel lost; they no longer feel connected to their country, their history, or their culture. Young people are taught that nationalism is bad, and as a result they no longer feel that they are part of our culture. Because of this sense of alienation, young people become depressed and confused. This is hardly surprising when you grow up in a grey, concrete world in which everything is crammed full of soulless structures. Everything must be as fast and efficient as possible, and there is no longer any attention given to beauty. No one will ever feel connected to the ugliness that now fills our streets. Simpletons try to justify this development. They speak about so-called “modern art.” Utter nonsense, of course. Architects design buildings like unflattering concrete boxes, rather than authentic works of art in the street. Artists have sold their souls to “abstract modernity.” Paintings with beauty and grandeur now belong to history. The musician no longer tells a story, but merely provides background noise for the simple mind. Writers no longer speak of the wounded soul. Their stories overflow with emptiness; there is no trace of depth left. Poetry seems to have been completely washed away and replaced by the idiotic “spoken word.” Our traditions appear to be fading one by one under the idea of globalism. Piece by piece, the beauty of our culture is being lost and replaced by emptiness and ugliness. It is time for a new Renaissance. It is time for a rebirth in which the beauty of our Germanic culture is celebrated once again. The time has come for a new generation that will once again value its culture, reject ugliness, worship beauty, and build a society in which its own norms and values are central, without interference from other cultures. It is time for Thiudisc.
Mission
Thiudisc is a cultural movement, not a political one. The central mission of Thiudisc is to celebrate Germanic culture. We seek to do so by fostering a community of people who take pride in their heritage and culture, who feel connected to their history, and who wish to learn about and celebrate Germanic traditions.
The arts, history and customs deserve to be rediscovered, including, among others:
-
Traditions
-
Literature
-
Poetry
-
Painting
-
Sculpture
-
Music
-
Architecture
-
Philosophy
-
History
Thiudisc aims to bring this about through three principal strands:
1. Rediscovering Germanic culture
We inherit a long history of formidable heroes, painters, musicians, writers and enduring traditions. Yet this rich heritage no longer receives the appreciation it deserves. To celebrate one’s culture, one must first come to know it. Thiudisc seeks to (re)discover Germanic culture together, learning with and from one another about the depth and richness of our shared inheritance. By exploring our traditions and arts, we reconnect with our remarkable history.
2. Bringing together those who cherish Germanic culture
Many people sense the absence of their culture, yet do not know how to fill that void. Thiudisc aspires to be a haven for those who feel unmoored by this loss. Together, we aim to form a community of people who admire Germanic beauty and reject the repulsiveness of globalism. It does not matter how much or how little one already knows about Germanic culture. We will learn with and from one another, so that our culture may once again be honoured and celebrated with dignity.
3. Introducing others to Germanic culture
There are also many who remain unaware. They may feel a sense of absence, yet cannot quite name it. Thiudisc wishes to reach these individuals as well, offering them a guiding light and a sense of belonging. In doing so, we hope to help them discover Germanic culture and restore the feeling of being part of our community. In this way, we cultivate a community of our own, one in which our values, culture and sense of beauty stand at the centre.
